I guess, it’s creative thinking and visually dissecting a single element of your creation.

Everyday we all embark on our own different tasks that require us to think, to dream the impalpable dream, collaborate in our head with our own voices, and get inspired by different elements that surround us.

One should always remember that, Being fashionable does not mean you have to wear something that is worn by the supermodels that gazed at the runway. You should wear confidence! One should dress clothes that represent their personality, is a way of saying who they are without having to speak to others.

In your own point of view, how do you define modest clothing?

Modest clothing evolved over the past few years and over many cultures. Dressing modestly is dressing appropriately and being comfortable in what you wear. Dressing well tells people that you want to look sophisticated and make a good impression on others.

I have always tried to make my designs more interesting with stories on it.

How do you see modest fashion changes over time?

Our dress is our identity. It can be a powerful tool of influence. It is breathtaking to see how the different fashion events in history have influenced and changed the way people have dressed throughout time for centuries since every country has its own erogenous zones. I see generations adapting with these times, growing as the society grows and becoming more independent out of the fashion box, it became a symbol of modest fashion modernization around the world.

What do you think are the challenges in embracing modest fashion in the Philippines?

The fashion industry is an ecosystem powering the market created by supply and demand. As a designer, one should maintain these sacred elements: classic, timeless, glamour, season less, transcending trends and class. One should be unique and have that different vision to stand out, that’s the main challenge- To stand out.

How can you promote classy and modest style of clothing?

Actually, one should wear things that you’re comfortable with to boost confidence, that’s the essence. My job is to conduct research into fashion and design trends that’s been going on. Next is communication with your followers with your latest collection showing those immaculate pieces.

What is your favorite part about being a designer?

The challenges. I’m also excited to brew a vision that’s different.

What are your inspirations?

Not so long ago, I wanted to be part of this amazing world, which is the fashion industry where you can see different inspirations around since art and fashion were among my first passions and hobbies. I would say I’m always inspired by love. Love is like a thread that makes beautiful clothes when you are inspired.

How would you describe your personal style?

Impalpable and classy.

How do you want women to feel when wearing your clothes?

I want the Michael Cinco women to feel like the Princess on their own storybook. I want them to experience a real fairytale by wearing my clothes.

How will you contribute the best for the industry?

Filipinos have different talents. Many of us end up constantly looking into other people’s eyes to find out who we are. Let go of living up to others’ expectations by speaking your mind, listen to your gut feelings and align your beliefs, values and rules to match them. I’d like to see more acts of selflessness and make positive changes and never forget to dream that impalpable dream.

What is next in line for Michael Cinco?

Michael Cinco has always been an ENIGMA to
